You're welcome. Everyone here in the states is afraid to work on european cars due to
the lack of user friendly menus compared to Domestic vehicles. When you really dig in
though once you get the basics down for channels on VW/Audi and coding on Bmw
and Mini, it becomes a much quicker process. I've got VAG on my laptop and this tool
can pretty much do everything that VAG can do. I have run full evap/fuel/purge
diagnostics on these vehicles without even having to pull out a smoke machine since
you can literally test each component individually once you have a basic function
channel list.
Today I replaced a purge valve on an 07 Jetta and was able to test the new unit and
run all 7 readiness moniters while the vehicle was sitting in the shop by forcing the
system tests through basic ,channels. That's pretty invaluable in my opinion. I didn't
even have to drive it before it was ready to be emissions tested (though I obviously did
to confirm the repair.) I'm learning that all bugs aside, Its a decent tool.
